This a range of work that I completed in the first half of 2020 for the New Zealand business "Big sky bike adventures"
Initially I was contacted for print design in the form of the map and bike diagrams that are to be given to all who ride the companies signature rail trail in the South Island.
Working with maps is interesting as there are some things you can alter and change but others like track shape and distance sizing that are set in stone so you have to work around certain barriers, what I found most difficult was finding what to leave out as my earlier concepts also included topographic information.
The bike diagrams were created to focus usability over style so people can report any mechanical issues they face and will be used by many international and domestic customers so I worked to make the subjects both detailed and simplified. Finally I added unrealistic color coding so any bike components could be easily identified by all.
The banner advertisements were for a senior newsletter related to my countries supergold card system for elderly persons, I presented several different styles for the clients to choose from with all in there business color theme of light/sky blue and white. I maintained clear readability throughout and didn't take chances at reducing this with unnecessary aesthetics. Eventually we settled on concept #1 for it's especially clear format that will be easily noticed by seniors.
Overall I am satisfied with the contribution I have made to this company and have received very positive feedback from the clients and expect we will work together again in the near future.
